The characteristic of the MX ULTRA LOW PROFILE is not dissimilar to the MX BLUE, as it is also characterized by a tactile feedback. In addition, there is the unique "CHERRY click noise", which means that in addition to tactile feedback, there is also acoustic feedback. Thanks to the noticeable actuation force, the short travel distance and the extremely low height, the switch is suitable for applications such as notebooks, where fast reactions as well as reliable inputs in limited spaces are important.

The Original
Inside CHERRY MX ULP CLICK
1 SPRING
The spring’s force together with the wings are defining the real mechanical feeling in this ultra thin form factor.2 WINGS
Stainless steel for wings and spring makes the switch robust and ensures a superior lifetime. With the preloaded tension spring it gives the user a very fast activation and a tactile feeling over lifetime. The wings are the connection to the keycap and ensure a parallel and balanced switch movement, even on off center activations.3 ACTUATOR AND POLYMER SOCKET
The actuator defines the pre travel of the switch and activates the click arm.The polymer socket as CAD high precision component holds the Gold Crosspoint contact system in place and is also responsible for homogeneous illumination of the switch.
4 GOLD CROSSPOINT CONTACT SYSTEM
Gold-based, the crosspoint contact is the heart of every CHERRY MX keyswitch. With absolute precision, these triangular cross-contacts meet each other at precise right angles. This proven CHERRY innovation and gold-plating ensures a reliable contact and makes it a true mechanical solution with ergonomic overtravel.5 BASE FRAME
Dual-functional, the base component is made of a special, proprietary metal alloy. It holds the parts together and is the interface to the PCB with the soldering pads.More about the original
